Who I Am
I'm a proud West Wichita native. Growing up here for over 40 years, I've seen this community become my home. My family has deep roots in the area, with my parents running a successful electrical contracting business. It’s where I attended elementary, middle, and high school, and it’s the place that shaped who I am today.
Now, I am a Maize resident and dedicated community member. After college, I dove into the professional world, working in law offices and retail before finding my true passion. For over 17 years, I’ve been a key player in the healthcare field at the University of Kansas School of Medicine – Wichita. My role as a Senior Credentialing and Contract Specialist has been incredibly rewarding.
I'm committed to making Maize an even better place to live. My journey into community service began when I joined the Park and Tree Board, motivated by a desire to get a splash pad for my kids. That experience ignited a passion for improving our community, leading me to serve on the Planning Commission. Being actively involved with the Maize community is my way of giving back to a town that offers me a wonderful place to raise my boys.
My deep commitment to serving the Maize community began in 2018 when I was appointed to the City Council to fill a vacancy. The trust and confidence placed in me by my neighbors was truly humbling. Honored to continue serving, the community re-elected me to the Council in 2021. Today, I am proud to lead as President of the Maize City Council while also contributing to the Maize Cemetery Board and Maize Community Foundation.
My extensive experience in the medical field includes a leadership role as President-Elect of the Kansas Association of Medical Staff Services (KAMSS). This statewide organization represents medical staff members from facilities across Kansas. I have also contributed to KAMSS as a former treasurer.
When I'm not busy with work or community service, I enjoy spending quality time with my three boys, tending to my garden, losing myself in a good book, or exploring my creative side with painting.
